Week 2

The second week of the dukan diet is over. As the first fase only is some kind of a “kickstarter”, I am now in fase 2. In face 2 you switch between eating only meet one day, and then NeXT day you can add some Salad (only Salad that is allowed). It helps eating something else than just meat, so therefore it get’s easier and easier.

So how did it go? well it went okay, I did not cheat. I changed between meat and Salad like I should. But I have to admit that I still miss eating what others eat, it is really hard. Luckly not as tough as it was the first week. This week I had some trouble with my stomach hurting. I still can’t do exercise because of my injury, I hope I can do some next week. But in total it went okay, because I have lost 1,8 kg. You cannot expect to lose as much as the first week, because that is most Water you are losing. So I am happy that I lost some weight Again, without doing exercise. Hope it continues…

Dinner

So long time since I posted a food Picture! So here you have it. This was what I had for dinner a couple of days ago that I actually remembered to photograph before I ate it.
I don’t know if you can see it, but underneath there is a dukan pancake topped with fresh Salad and cucumber. Then some ground beef spiced with union and chili. Then I made a healthy dressing out of fromage frais and low fat salsa. It was very yummy! Bon appetite.

Dukan pita bread

This yummi dukan pitabread was on the menu today. All I can say is: great dinner! The bread is a dukan recipe and the filling consist of: tuna (in water), boiled eggs, red pepper, cucumber and some fromage frais. It actually tasted like “normal” pitabread! I have to try this again with another filling.

Dukan diet fase 2

Now follows 5 days where you exchangens between days with only protein food (as in fase 1) and days with both protein and vegetables. Also in this fase you are allowed to eat as much and as often as you want.

Here is a list of what’s allowed to eat in fase 2 (if it isn’t here, you cannot eat it in this fase):

Now you can have these vegetables in your meals:
Tomato, cucumber, radish, spinach, asparagus, all kinds of salad, green beans, mushrooms, celery, leeks, cabbage, mushrooms, eggplant, pepper,  fennel and squash. And because of the high content of sugar you should not eat carrots and beetroot in every meal, maybe just once in a day.

1. Lean meat beef, which only contains 3-7 % fat.
2. Organ meat kidneys and beef tongue.
3. Poultry but not dog and goose.
4. Fish every fish, both row and canned.
5. Shellfish
6. Lean cold cuts ham, chicken etc.
7. Eggs
8. Fat free (0,1%) milk products
9. Coffee and tea
10. Spices

And besides that, everyday you have to:

11. Drink atleast 1½ L water
12. And in fase 2 you have to eat more oatbrain, 2 tbsp a day.
13. And in fase 2 you have to walk in 30 minutes a day, and if your weight stands still you can increase it to 60 minutes.

So there you have it. The 2 fase is a lot like fase 1 the difference is that now you are allowed to eat some vegetables.

Water

According to the dukan diet, you should drink atleast 1½ L water everyday. I have been doing that both days, and I actually think that I have been drinking 2. I was used to drink alot, but I have to say it is very hard to drink that much, sometimes you have to make yourself do it eventhough you do not want to. And then you have to pee, all the f… time! That is so irritating.. But I hope my bladder soon will get used to it, so I can cut down all of that peeing. That is diffently the bad thing about drinking that much water, but I already see what it does to my skin, and that is great. In the diet you are only aloud to drink water, but you can also drink a coca cola light once in a while, so I think I will tread myself with one in the weekend. You can also mix the water with sugarfree lemonade.
